We love this photo of our puppy Shutter. It’s kinda blurry (ok, it’s a lot blurry), but it just captures her personality so much that we had to share. She’s fun, rebellious, a little crazy and she sure loves water.
Twice a day we take her for a walk. Everytime she tries to jump into puddles and roll around in mud and tries to get that earthy smell on her. Every other day she succeeds and gets so dirty and muddy that we have to bathe her (which she does not like at all, even though she loves to jump into the water so much).
Here are more photos from the wedding reception in Statesville, North Carolina.
Here are some kids on the dance floor having some fun. This photo cracks me up. I don’t know exactly what it is that they are doing but it sure looks fun.
The food wasn’t just delicious, it was gorgeous!

They had the most beautiful decorations.

Kathy loved her photos. Here is what she said about them:
“Wow, we love our photos. You guys did an amazing job. Everything was exactly the way I wanted it. Everyone keeps asking me where I found you guys, so hopefully you get some more business here in Statesville.
Once again, thank you so much. We were so happy when we saw the photos for the 1st time. ”

I had a great opportunity to photography an unusual and unique wedding in Murrell’s Inlet, South Carolina, near Myrtle Beach. There are so many things to blog about so I will be writing about this wedding in two posts.
The wedding was held in Wachesaw Plantation Club.
Here is the bride overlooking Waccamaw River.
The bride and groom decided to see each other before the ceremony to be able to do some portraits with friends and family.
They had guests from all over the country and all over the world.
Instead of having somebody officiate the wedding, they had friends and family read passages or sing instead.
The bride and groom read some passages too.
Here is the bride and groom.

Here are the pictures from Holly and Shane’s beach wedding in Folly Beach, South Carolina.
Holly, in this photo, reminds me a little bit of Nicole Kidman. I feel like anytime now she is gonna be twitching her nose (a la Bewitched).
Here is the bride while getting ready.
It was the perfect day for a wedding. I was so glad it didn’t rain.

This is what Holly had to say about the photos.
“Silvas Photo went above and beyond all of our expectations for our wedding photographers. They kept in complete contact with us and they were there to answer any questions or uncertainties we had. During the wedding and reception you hardly noticed them there. They never got in our way or interrupted anything. We now have the wedding photos of our dreams. We appreciate everything they have done for us and we will definitely recommend them to everyone we know. ”

Here are the latest photos from my latest wedding at Alhambra Hall in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.
It was just so windy on this day. The veil was always in the way.
But it was a beautiful location. The weather was perfect and the light was great.
Here is the back of the dress.
And here is the bride.

This is what Jene and Shawn had to say about the photos.
“Thanks again for the amazing job you did with our wedding pictures. We couldn’t be happier. All our our friends and family were very impressed with them as well. From the most important moments down to the little details, you captured everything PERFECT! We will definitely recommend you to anyone we know who will be in need of a photographer. You are amazing! “ – Jené & Shawn, Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina
Just came back from a Thomasville, North Carolina wedding. This is the first wedding coming into the very busy 2008 wedding season.
The wedding ceremony and reception was held in Cedar Lodge Baptist Church . It was a beautiful day, but very cold. I lost my voice in the middle of the wedding, even though I wasn’t speaking much.
Here is a bridesmaid getting her hair fixed.
Here is the gorgeous bride.
The motif of the wedding was this really beautiful blue color.
Let’s not forget about the groom.
A shot from the back of the church.
A shot of the groom and bride praying.
The table setting was just beautiful.
The bride threw the bouquet but the wind was so strong that it pretty much didn’t go anywhere.
2007 has been a really good year for us and I think 2008 will be even better! We thank all our clients for all their support.
2008 looks really good. We already have a lot of wedding dates reserved so if you wish to book us as your wedding photographer, please do so as soon as possible because dates are really going fast, especially for the more in-demand wedding months. Please call me or email me to confirm if your wedding date is still open so I can send you a contract. This is not the time to be hesitant since January is always a big booking month.
08/08/08 surprisingly is still open so if anybody is getting married on this day, we’re available.
We also have a new and improved price list for 2008 effective this January. I think it’s easier to understand and more versatile than our old price list.
For some unknown reason, this is our best-seller. This was taken in a port in Costa Maya, Mexico.
This one is a favorite of mine, it’s a very cool door from a historic house here in Charleston, South Carolina.
